The cost includes expenses city development projects including a promenade on the beach road at a cost of Rs 130 crore. The focus will be on shore protection and `hotscape and softscape’. Softscape refers to the elements of a landscape including flowers, plants, shrubs, trees, flower beds etc. Hardscape refers to objects such as pavers, stones and rocks.
The DPR prepared by AECOM India Pvt Ltd has proposed to allot Rs 70 crore for recycled water supply . The focus is also on providing uninterrup ted power supply through underground cables. Nearly Rs 30 crore was earmarked for this purpose. The DPR mentioned about 30 types of services and projects including effective management of storm water were listed as part of the proposal.
