The golden flowers donated by devotees offered to the presiding deity at Sri Kanaka Mahalakshmi temple in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday.
Ashtadalapadma Aaradhana was formally introduced at the Sri Kanakamahalakshmi temple here by noted scholar Chaganti Koteswara Rao, his wife and MLA V. Ganesh Kumar and his wife. The special puja was introduced among the temple rituals with the 108 golden flowers, each weighing 18 grams and donated by 68 donors who have also participated in the first puja to the idol of Sri Kanakamahalakshmi along with Mr. Koteswara Rao and Mr. Ganesh Kumar.
Executive Officer of the temple S.J. Madhavi said the Ashtadalapadma Aaradhana would be held on every Thursday from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m., commencing on August 4 during the Sravana Maasam. Puja fee is Rs. 1116 and interested devotees can contact the temple on 0891 2566514/2711725/2568645 for details.
